On the Rise
Our Annual Superhero 5K supports On the Rise a non-profit organization in Cambridge, MA. We
have supported On the Rise in 2009, 2010 and look forward to supporting them again in 2011.
On the Rise is a day program for women who are homeless or in crisis. On the Rise use a relational
model designed to offer respect, dignity, connection, information, guidance and hope to women
who have fallen through the cracks of our social service system. They meet each woman where she
is, help her build on her strengths, and partner with her on her journey from surviving, to living, to
thriving.

Tyler Foundation
For our 2011 Superhero 5K we are partnering with the Tyler Foundation on Team Tyler. The Tyler
Foundation provides financial support to families' of children with epilepsy that are being treated at
Children's Hospital Boston and UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center.
Team Tyler is a group of athletes of all levels that compete in different types of races (5Ks, 10Ks,
Triathlons, etc) throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for the Tyler Foundation.
The Superhero 5K is an event that Team Tyler will participate in as they race to raise funds for the
Tyler Foundation. All money raised goes directly to the Tyler Foundation.
